Temca Academy, Part 13

EXT. BROOM FOOTBALL FIELD. EVENING.

EST-the stadium looks almost like a non-magical stadium, except the audience is much higher up as is the end zones. The players haven’t entered the field yet. Toci, Joshua, Anielle, and a reluctant Peter sit behind the cheerleaders, who wear red and black uniforms with a black cat logo. A black cat mascot dances with them.

JOSHUA:

(eying the cheerleaders)

Great seats!

ANIELLE:

Don’t get too excited; we have

to kill one of them.

JOSHUA:

(to Anielle)

How come you don’t try out for

cheerleading?

Anielle is surprised by that question.

ANIELLE:

I don’t think I’m their type.

JOSHUA:

You’re totally their type! Toci,

couldn’t you see her in one of

those uniforms? I know I can.

PETER:

Excuse me, but please stop

picturing my girlfriend in that

rubbish!

ANIELLE:

You said you wouldn’t be unpleasant!

TOCI:

So which one of these bimbos do

you think it is?

PETER:

You want an evil cheerleader?

They’re all evil! This is so

stupid!

Before anyone can respond, music begins to play, signaling the game is ready to start. The crowd cheers in anticipation, and Peter cringes. The announcer, ROSS, speaks into his scepter, and his voice sounds throughout the stadium.

ROSS:

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome

to the championship playoffs!

One of these fine teams will

be playing in our national

championship!

He pauses while the crowd cheers.

ROSS:

Let’s introduce the players!

First, say hello to our

visiting team, coming all the

way from Idaho Magical Business

school, it’s the Barn Owls!

The opposing team, dressed in blue and yellow, zip out on their brooms. Most of the crowd boos.

ROSS:

We welcome you to our home in

the outskirts of DC! Now, give

your home team some love! It’s

the Black Cats!

The crowd goes wild when the Black Cat team zips out. Peter covers his ears. The players take position on the field. A whistle sounds, and the game begins. It plays like a normal football game but instead of tackling, they try to knock players off their broom. Everyone has a good time, except for Peter. The Black Cats take the lead, and the crowd is growing more and more excited. Anielle notices that one of the cheerleaders, EBONY (a sultry African-American girl) grows more and more miserable as the crowd grows more and more happy. The coach from the other side calls a time out. The players sit on the bench, and the crowd is slightly quieter.

PETER:

Is it over yet?

ANIELLE:

Stop whining!

PETER:

I’m going to the bathroom.

Peter leaves. Joshua, Anielle, and Toci go down to talk to Ebony.

CHEERLEADER 1:

What’s wrong, Ebony?

EBONY:

I got a monster headache.

CHEERLEADER 2:

Well, buck up! Our team needs us!

EBONY:

(growls)

Leave me alone!

Frightened and a little confused, the cheerleaders leave her alone. Ebony notices Joshua, Anielle, and Toci, becomes scared, grabs a player’s broom, and flies away. Joshua, Anielle, and Toci run out of the stadium.

EXT. STADIUM PARKING LOT. EVENING.

The three steal a broom.

ANIELLE:

Crap! Why did I have to wear a

short skirt today?

As they fly off, Anielle screams slightly, knowing that she is exposed. Some guys see her and cat call. Joshua and Toci laugh.

EXT. THE WOODS. EVENING.

The three catch up to Ebony, but Ebony keeps racing. They are flying above the trees.

JOSHUA:

Where is she going?

ANIELLE:

She’s going to a place where

an evil slut can fit right in!

Ebony flies into a portal with a sign that says, “Las Vegas.” After she uses it, the sign adds, “Closed until tomorrow.” The three stop in midair.

ANIELLE:

She’s going to spread fear there!

TOCI:

Good luck! My Tia lives in Vegas,

and the locals there are pretty

tough.

JOSHUA:

Tell your tia we’re coming to

Vegas for winter break!
